Where are you located?

We are located in Penticton, British Columbia in the Okanagan Valley. We provide services for Penticton, Summerland, and Naramata. If you are outside these regions but are interested in services, please do not hesitate to reach out!

How does cleaning work?

When booking Habit & Kin services we have a minimum of 3 hours. A qualified team member will work with you prior to your scheduled appointment to determine exactly what services will work best for your needs and home.  

We charge for the exact time our team is in your home. Should the estimated time and the actual time differ, Habit & Kin will contact you immediately to discuss your preference on how to proceed. 

If you choose, we can wrap up and leave so as not to incur more cost or we can continue on to have your home spotless.

What are your rates?

Rates vary depending on the day of the week, length of service and the type of cleaning you require.

What cleaning products do you use?

Habit & Kin uses natural, eco friendly products that are safe for pets, children and those with sensitivities to cleaning products.

Should you prefer, Habit & Kin can use your cleaning products instead. We will cover this when you schedule your free quote and add it to your profile for our team.

Are your products safe for pets?

Yes! We use natural cleaners to ensure pet, children and adult sensitivities are accounted for.

How often should I get my house cleaned?

As often as you like!

Habit & Kin’s cleaning appointments can be one time or scheduled to suit your needs. For a general clean we have found most clients like to book in every 2 or 3 weeks.

Ongoing appointments scheduled in advance are privy to specials and incentives!

How do I know what was cleaned?

You will have the opportunity to decide what you wish to be cleaned during the initial visit with a Habit & Kin team member when building out your quote.

Habit & Kin will provide you with a cleaning checklist via email after each visit. 

Habit & Kin can also provide you with before and after photos upon request.

How do I book a service?

What is your cancellation policy?

Habit & Kin — CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event that the Client needs to cancel a scheduled cleaning appointment, forty-eight (48) hours notice to Habit & Kin is required. Notice may be given by email, SMS (text), or phone. Should the Client fail to give forty-eight (48) hours notice on more than one (1) occasion, the Client must pay 50% for the canceled cleaning first offense and 100% of the fee for canceled cleanings thereafter. Canceling more than three (3) consecutive cleanings or more than seven (7) total scheduled cleanings, without prior approval of Habit & Kin, will be deemed a material breach and allow Habit & Kin to cancel the contract and/or pricing agreement or to seek legal remedies.

We are happy to accommodate you with a rescheduled appointment; however, that will be subject to availability.

Please also note that if we are unable to access the home upon arrival, OR we are turned away at the door, a cancelation/lockout fee equal to half the service price will be charged to the credit card on file.

In the event that Habit & Kin needs to cancel a scheduled cleaning appointment 24 hours notice will be given to the client. If Habit & Kin fails to give 24-hour notice, Client will be offered one free cleaning.
